Adding and Editing Customers

You can add new customers to LeadClose individually or in bulk. This guide covers adding customers one by one. For bulk uploads, see the "How to Import Customers" guide.

Adding a New Customer

  1. Navigate to the Customers Page: Click on Customers in the sidebar.
  2. Click "Add Customer": This button is located at the top right of the page.
  3. Fill in the Details: A form will open where you can enter the customer's information.
    • Required Fields: Name and Phone Number (with country code) are mandatory.
    • Optional Fields: You can add email, source, lead stage, location, tags, and internal notes.
  4. Save the Customer: Click the "Add Customer" button at the bottom of the form.

Editing an Existing Customer

  1. Find the Customer: On the Customers page, find the customer you want to edit in the list. You can use the search bar to find them quickly.
  2. Click the Edit Icon: In the "Actions" column for that customer, click the pencil icon.
  3. Update the Information: The same form as the creation screen will appear, pre-filled with the customer's current data. Make any necessary changes.
  4. Save Changes: Click the "Save Changes" button.

Customer Profile Fields Explained

  • Name, Phone, Email: Basic contact information. The phone number must be in international format (e.g., +14155552671).
  • Source & Lead Stage: Customizable fields to track where the customer came from and where they are in your sales funnel.
  • Tags: Quick labels to help you categorize and filter your customers. (See "Managing Global Tags" for more info).
  • Notes / Disposition: A free-text field for any important notes or summaries about the customer.
  • Opt-Out & Blocked:
    • Opt-Out: Prevents this customer from receiving any messages, including bulk campaigns.
    • Blocked: A two-way block. The customer cannot message you, and you cannot message them.
